You can establish a Named Fund with a specific goal aligned with the museum’s mission. You choose the fund’s name—this could be your own, that of a loved one, or one reflecting your intended purpose.

A Named Fund starts at €50,000, through a single donation or five annual gifts of €10,000. Donors with a Named Fund enjoy the same benefits as Van Leeuwenhoek Circle members during the funding period.

In 2024, we proudly welcomed two new Named Funds: Joskind and Weteringschans.

The Dutch Cultural Giving Act offers tax incentives for donating to cultural ANBIs like Rijksmuseum Boerhaave. With the 1.25 multiplier, the deductible amount increases by 25% for tax purposes. The exact deduction depends on your income, the donation amount, and whether it is a one-time or recurring gift.

Conditions for tax-deductible recurring donations:

• The donation is recorded in a donation agreement
• It is made at least once a year for a minimum of five years
• The annual donation amount remains the same

How does it work?
You can include Rijksmuseum Boerhaave in your will (through a Dutch notary) in two ways:

• As (co-)heir: the museum becomes entitled to part or all of the inheritance
• As legatee: the museum receives a fixed sum, a percentage, or specific objects such as property or a valuable item

As a public benefit organisation (ANBI), the museum is exempt from inheritance tax.
