With a disabled parking permit, you can park in general disabled parking spaces—even where parking is otherwise prohibited. In Leiden, many parking spaces are free for disabled permit holders. You can find locations of disabled parking spaces via gehandicaptenparkeerplaatsen.nl.
The museum is wheelchair accessible. For mobility scooter users, a few wheelchairs are available inside the museum. Guide dogs are permitted; other animals are not.
Tour bus parking
At Nieuwe Beestenmarkt (by the canal tour boats), there is a drop-off/pick-up spot where you can park for up to 15 minutes. From there, it’s about a 5-minute walk (approximately 400 m) to the museum.
For coach parking from the A4 and A44 highways: there are bus parking spaces on Haagweg—you can reserve a spot via the city parking plan.
From the A4 (Amsterdam–The Hague): coach parking is available on Lammenschansweg, near Leiden Lammenschans Station.
